KELDET
Electronic Initiation System

KELDET EIS is a innovative, unique electronic initiation system with patented technology offering safe, accurate and efficient blasting operations. State of the art (communication) technology offers on-field programming, module health test and attendance check with 2-way communication while staying immune to other wireless communications. It conforms to the EU standard "CEN/TS 13763-27:2003 (E)"

KELDET provides timing accuracy to the tune of 100 µs for delay timings from 0 to 15,000 ms.

The KDET EIS comprises the following devices:

  • Electronic Delay Module (EDM): The core element of an electronic detonator, the EDM fires connected fuse-head as per the programmed delay.
  • Testing Unit: Factory testing unit to perform in-process quality control checks of the electronic delay module in the production environment
  • Programmer: A handy hand-held programming device built with rechargeable battery to facilitate the health check, and programming of desired delay (0 to 15,000 ms with 1ms resolutions) in the electronic detonator at the time of blast setup on field.
  • Blaster: Password protected hand-held device built with rechargeable battery to perform attendance check and issue the 'pre-FIRE' and 'Fire/Defuse' commands. Comes with encrypted, proprietary communication compatible to 'KELDET ® EDMs which are part of the elecontic detonator.
  • Connector: Easy-to-use connector provided with each EDM for stable & sound electrical connection from factory to site and press-to-connect design for connection with on-field bus-wires.
  • Duplex Cable: Duplex cable of rated resistance for reliable communication
  • Tag - Printer: On-site label printer connected to the programmer via Bluetooth to generate adhesive coated label with delay and serial number information to affix to the connector.
Features
  • 2-way proprietary communication
  • On-site delay programming facility
  • Programmable delay from 0 to 15,000 ms with a resolution of 1ms
  • Blast up to 255 detonators at once
  • On-site module health testing
  • Password based restricted access
  • Light-weight and handy programmer and blaster
Safety Features
  • No permanent source of energy in the EDM to avoid unintended initiation
